About Sumidaya
Sumidaya is a long-established Japanese rice store that has been in business for over 100 years. We blend the finest brown rice selected from all over Japan in a unique golden ratio and slowly and deliberately candy the rice using an old-fashioned milling method that maximizes flavor, and we are thoroughly committed to rice, the starting point of the Japanese people. We hope that people in other countries will taste Japanese rice.

海外炊飯教室 Overseas Rice Cooking Class
New York Rice Cooking Class (Organized by JETRO New York Office)
This was a practical lesson on how to cook Japanese rice. We compared different types of Japanese rice with Wagyu beef and grilled salmon. We conveyed the diversity and versatility of Japanese rice and demonstrated its added value beyond its price.

Osaka Kansai Expo(Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Theme Week） Planning and demonstration of JFOODO export booth
The theme of the event was Japanese Western cuisine, and the history of Japanese Western cuisine was presented along with curry rice. Through the diversity of Japanese food culture, the excellence of export ingredients was conveyed to visitors to the Expo.
